So you ask, how can you possibly allow a man to have
complete control over you? And I say the answer is complex. I am a woman who is
strong and in charge of a great many parts of her life. I have run offices and
had a great many people report to me. So if you had asked me if I would ever
let a man control me, my answer would have been a resounding …HELLS,NO.
BUT
And there is always a but, isn’t there? But then I found a
man who showed me that in giving up control, I could find a new power. In
trusting him to take care of me and my needs I could find freedom. When I am
submissive, the stresses of the day to day world fall away. He takes those from
me and allows me to just be me.
Did it happen overnight? No. Like David says in my book
submission doesn’t always come easy and it takes time. And a good Dom
understands that. They understand that a submissive isn’t a horse needing to be
broken. But a person who is complex and for whatever their reason needs to feel
dominated, controlled, call it what you will.
My road to submission
wasn’t one that I found easy, it wasn’t the road another submissive might have
traveled. I never understood Doms who say that what I need is to be spanked
until I can let out my emotions. Who are they to say? Only my Dom and I can say
for sure. And I have to trust him to know what’s best for me. Giving up my
control in or out of the bedroom to my Dom is a gift, one that should be
cherished and respected. Because once a trust between a D/s is broken, it’s
very hard to find your way back.
There is some insight into my submissive world. Do I live
the lifestyle 24/7? Not at the moment, but I do as often as I can. Do most
people know I am a submissive? No and most would be shocked. Is it anyone’s
business? Not really, because what goes on between the two of us is for us and
us alone. Do I like a good spanking?

Hearing him come near she
lifted her face in his direction, he brought his hand to just centimeters above
her skin, enough to feel her heat but nothing else. Tonight was about proving
her trusted in him that she could finally hand over complete faith which he had
spent years earning. She needed confidence in him to take care of her needs and
wants, to be what she needed and to know that her submissiveness to him was a
supreme gift he would above all cherish.
